Transforming Guitar Diagnostics

On January 1, 2026, Guitar Quackery unveiled an innovative new software designed for guitar technicians and enthusiasts alike: FretLab PRO. Currently only used at the Guitar Quackery repair shop in NYC, this homebrew application marks a significant leap forward in the realm of guitar diagnostics.

Advanced 3D Analysis

FretLab PRO is not just another tool; it is a cutting-edge, 3D application tailored for analyzing intricate scans of guitars and their components. By harnessing state-of-the-art technology, this software provides guitar technicians, luthiers, and researchers with powerful resources to meticulously examine guitar designs. The ability to interact with a 3D model allows users to identify minute details that affect both performance and sound quality, ensuring each guitar is crafted to perfection.

The Developers

Last but not least, FretLab PRO is a collaborative project, being developed by Guitar Quackery and Dr. Kevin Housen, astronomer, retired research scientist from Boeing and also guitar enthusiast.
